Both factors are exact by international definition, so no rounding is introduced in the conversion itself: 1 foot = 0.3048 m and 1 inch = 25.4 mm. Cable drawings and connector datasheets routinely mix the two systems, with overall length in inches and strip lengths in millimeters. That is why a both-ways converter with a tape-measure readout saves time on the bench.
